2. What data is collected
Through this website we collect only the data that you provide to us yourself:
- first name and surname,
- email address,
- telephone number,
- the content of your message or enquiry,
- details of the desired dates, number of guests and additional services, if you enter them in the booking form.
The individual chalet pages embed our booking system Bentral, where you can check availability and book directly. The data you enter in this module (e.g. name, contact details, address, dates, number of guests and payment details) is received by Bentral and processed on our behalf to carry out the booking.
The website does not use profiling and does not carry out automated decision-making that would have legal effects for you.
3. Purpose and legal basis of processing
We process your data solely in order to reply to your enquiry, prepare an offer for renting a chalet and carry out any booking.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — when you submit the form and confirm your agreement to the processing.
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — where we need the data to prepare and carry out a booking.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) — for issuing invoices and keeping a register of guests, where required by law.
4. Data retention
We keep data from enquiries for no more than 2 years from the last contact, unless the law (e.g. tax regulations) requires a longer retention period. Once this period has passed, we delete the data.
5. Disclosure of data to third parties
We do not sell your data and do not pass it on to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by the following contracted processors, who provide us with technical services:
- Vercel Inc. — hosting of the website and of the form server.
- Bistri Sistemi (DOERS d.o.o.) — creation and maintenance of the website and processing of forms: the content of the contact and booking forms is forwarded via a server on the Vercel platform to our email address info@alpineresorts.si. For reliable delivery, a copy of the enquiry is also stored in the processor's protected storage.
- Resend Inc. — technical delivery of the email containing the enquiry to our mailbox.
- Google Maps — display of a map of the locations. When the map is displayed, your IP address may be transmitted to Google.
- INTERSPLET d.o.o. (Slance 8, 3221 Teharje, Slovenia), provider of the Bentral booking system — showing chalet availability and receiving, storing and processing bookings made through the booking module on the chalet pages. Bentral processes the data as our contract processor, solely on our instructions. More in its privacy statement at bentral.com/sl/zasebnost.
Vercel, Resend and Google are based in the USA. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.
6. Cookies
For the website to work we use only strictly necessary cookies or the browser's local storage, in which we remember your cookie choice. We do not load analytics or advertising cookies without your consent.
When Google Maps is embedded, Google may set its own cookies. If you do not want this, you can block cookies in your browser settings.
The Bentral booking module is loaded from bentral.com. To work (e.g. to keep track of the booking steps) it may use its own strictly necessary cookies or browser local storage.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- the right of access to your personal data,
- the right to rectification of inaccurate data,
- the right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”),
- the right to restriction of processing,
- the right to data portability,
- the right to object to processing,
- the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You exercise your rights by sending a message to info@alpineresorts.si. We will reply within one month at the latest.
8. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si.
9. Data security
The website operates over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is always the one in force.
